"I’ve purchased HAIRLOCS in the past and found the quality to be quite good for the price, especially compared to other brands. Initially, the hair came in 20-piece packs, which offered better value. The switch to 10-piece packs feels like a step back—it’s disappointing and seems unnecessary. That said, the quality of the hair has remained decent with my recent purchase, so I appreciate that consistency. However, I find the lack of detailed color swatches online frustrating. It makes it hard to confidently choose the right shade, especially for stylists or clients who need accuracy. Updating the website with clearer, more stylist-friendly color displays would make a big difference. Also, when I first purchased in 2021–2022 and spent over $400, I was promised an intro tool pack that I never received. I never followed up at the time, but it left a lasting impression. I do plan to continue purchasing HAIRLOCS hair, but I hope the website experience and customer support see some improvements. A bit more transparency and user-friendliness would go a long way."

Color and formula

"I would like to say that all the other companies I’ve worked with do have a VARIETY of color options. In my opinion, it would be helpful to put the formula for the color, with the swatch online or the color ring so we can make sure to match appropriately to the clients. It is helpful especially to stylist who are just starting extensions and learning how to color then accordingly. Also, the “root smudge covers half the extension hair which makes me have to custom color majority of my blondes and yes, that’s extra money but I like to work easier sometimes as well. I prefer the smudge to only be about two inches down. Not half way down the wefts. Another thing I’ve noticed is, there has been minimal shedding and fall apart for the wefts. I feel like they’re constructed very well. I do love this brand but adjustments can be made. (:"

Rough start

"As a stylist, I’ve worked with many different types of hair extensions, but I recently had the chance to work with these tape-in extensions, and I was genuinely impressed with the quality. While there was a bit of a learning curve at first due to some user challenges, the overall experience ended on such a high note! The extensions are easy to apply once you get the placement just right, and they hold up beautifully with proper care. The adhesive is strong and secure without being damaging to the natural hair, and the extensions blend seamlessly, creating a natural, voluminous look. I especially appreciated how well they performed after troubleshooting the initial hiccups—every challenge was resolved, and the result was stunning. These tape-ins are definitely a product I’d recommend to other stylists looking for a reliable, high-quality option. They deliver beautiful, lasting results that make both the stylist and the client happy!"

Do not get HL-M

"I’ve only had hair locs extensions and i love them so much. Never had any issues with color, quality, shipping, etc. that being said, my poor review is because of the color of the HL-M extensions. The swatch vs what we recieved was so different, it was a very faded light greenish color rather than “baby turquoise. ” When i put them in with my blonde extensions for pops of color it just made it look like my blonde was green from a chlorine pool, they lasted a week before i had them taken out. I’m so disappointed that i spent money on these in hopes for a cute pop of color and got extensions that looked so cheaply colored."

"Horrible customer service . Received hair with tape that did not stick . The only thing they did was send new tape and off twenty percent off next order which meant I had to take out ALL of my extensions to put new tape on them . Shame on this company I will never use again"
